Magicbrake is an electromechanical device designed to brake the
axis of a hydraulic transmission.
Magicbrake is completely automatic.
It is completely automatic and is immediately activated when the engine starts,
this way the shaft is free to rotate.
Even when the engine is off or stationary, Magicbrake keeps the shaft braking. The device is equipped with on and off switch as well as a circuit breaker for the electrical protection of the whole system.
Magicbrake is made of solid stainless steel 18/10, it consists of a box containing electrical and mechanical parts.
It works with the pressure of a special rubber timing belt which produces the braking of the axis.
The pulley is made of two equal parts fixed together, installed on the transmission axis. Magicbrake charges electricity only when is powered or off, for approximately one second. You can say that it pretty much needs no energy.
The electrical connection needs two power wires connected to the onboard electrics (+12 or 24v brown to blue and the negative pole) and a third wire connected to a source +12 V under the ignition key.
Stretch the Magicbrake timing belt and place it around the pulley than proceed fixing it with the special triangular choke. (See photo sequence). After that, proceed by turning the ignition key as if you were to turn on the engine but without starting it. Tighten the brake belt through and release about one or two teeth, then fasten it with the appropriate chocker. The belt has to be tight till its end and then released (about two or three teeth), to allow free rotation of the pulley when the engine is running. Turn the key on and check if the braking system works.
